Discovered fence damage this evening at 8:30pm on a walk-around. Spoke with a man doing equipment repair on the grinder. He suggested photos and contacting Geneva Rock, him being only a subcontractor doing repair on equipment. I took about a dozen photos.

7:30AM Examined damage more closely. Found that the iron panel's anchoring bolts have been pulled from the eastern pillar, the center metal post has been pulled from the concrete anchoring at the bottom, and the panel bowed and misshaped. I took more photos.

I flagged down Jared Peck, Orem's site boss, and we spoke. He gave me Jason Adamson's name as a contact point with the city. Nice, but not to apologetic.

8:10AM Called the project hotline, talked with Karen (who apparently works for Geneva Rock), and she said that she had heard from the project site boss, who sent some photos to her, and that Geneva Rock admitted fault. She claimed that the damage would be taken care of. She promised to do some investigating and will reply. She asked me to email or text my contact information.

8:15AM Called Orem City's main number and it was confirmed that Jason Adamson was the right guy to talk to. She transferred my call after giving me Jason's direct number, and I left a voice message for Jason, giving a description, my contact information and asking for a call back.

8:39AM Emailed Kared with my contact info and a couple of photos.

10:10AM Called Duvall Ornamental Iron at the main number. Spoke with Scott? Described my situation, he confirmed that Wes would be the best person to talk with on a repair. Called Wes Duvall on cell number. No answer, left VM asking for a callback.

2:00PM Carin Henriksen called. Hadn't yet received my email. She said she had talked with Joshua Jensen, project manager at Geneva Rock, about the claim. Geneva Rock wants me to fill out a claim form, which she sent in an email. I resent my original email, which she did receive.

2:30PM Call Joshua Jensen to discuss. No answer, left VM for callback.

3:30PM Received callback from Joshua Jensen from Geneva Rock. He is willing to accept the Claim Form with as much or as little information as I am willing to include. No information related to my own insurance is necessary. He gave me his email to send the information. He has contacted Outback Fencing to take a look and give a bid, and I informed him that I have also reached out to another outfit, Duvall Ironworks. He would like to stay coordinated on this. He ackowledged that Geneva Rock is a fault on this and intends to "make it right."

3:45PM Called Jack's Ornamental Iron in SLC at 801-972-4797. I spoke with Casey. She said they were not doing any bids at this time, but refered me to Intermountain Ornamental in Midvale at 801-571-1301.

4:00PM Emailed contact information to Joshua Jensen at Geneva Rock.

4:05PM Called Intermountain Ornamental. They won't repair a fence that they didn't initially install. They might be able to come to bid a replacement of new iron. I asked for further recommendations. She had no one she could refer me to. I asked to have a bid for a new-build replacement, she took my contact info. I will get a call before they come, which may be Friday or early next week.
