The general "home run" location for the household telephone and TV wiring is in the green-floored mechanical room.
The original wiring was a complete mess.
I'm sure it was somewhat organized during Dr. Selznick's ownership, but when we arrived, almost all of the black COAX wires were hanging loose with a couple of exception for CCTV cameras and a handful of cables connected (at one time by the former owner, but not now) to TV locations in the house.
The mess of CAT5 cables were a hodge-podge. These cables were only for telephone, not data. There was a tangled mess of connections, some to the old Panasonic PBX, some to a 66-style punch-down block, some to small wall mounted jacks for connections to the entry gate opener and the lutron telephone control unit. When we arrive the Panasonic PBX was powered and turned on, but (as it turned out) was not functional.
