Honeywell T6 PRO Z-Wave thermostats

  • Upper South Hallway (Library BR)
    1. Turned off power to the heater using nearby switch
    2. Removed Vivint thermostat and mounting plate
    3. The 'R'ed, 'G'reen, 'W'hite, and 'Y'ellow wires were connected to the Vivint mounting plate
    4. The cable also has 'B'lue and 'Br'own wires that are unconnected at the thermostat and the heater control PCB
    5. Connected the 'B'lue wire to the 'C'ommon terminal on the heater control PCB
    6. Connected the 'B'lue wire tot he 'C'ommon terminal on the new T6 Pro mounting plate
    7. Connected the 'R'ed, 'G'reen, 'W'hite, and 'Y'ellow wires th the T6 mounting plate
    8. Loosely attached the T6 mounting plate to the wall
    9. Installed x3 new AA batteries in the T6 thermostat
    10. Attached T6 thermostat to mounting plate, and powered the heater via switch
    11. Basic functions work great; haven't yet enrolled or tested Z-Wave (with TUXWIFI control panel)
  • Upper North Hallway (Craft Bedroom)
    1. Turned off power to the heater using nearby switch
    2. Removed Vivint thermostat and mounting plate
    3. The 'R'ed, 'G'reen, 'W'hite, and 'Y'ellow wires were connected to the Vivint mounting plate

Roof Inspection

  • Rod XXXXX came (with dog, Stanley) to inspect the roof
  • found a broken bull-nose tile on the SE corner of the lower roof of the garage.
  • replaced the broken tile with a spare that I had on hand
  • Rod reminded me I have a 5-year warranty on the work done last year
  • Rod said that next time he is on the roof, he can paint the new vent line flashing/boots black for aesthetics

Yard Care

  • Josh Newmon treated the lawn areas with fertilizer and pre-emergent weed killer
  • We talked about projects for the coming season
    1. Debris removal
      • Behind shop, dead shrubs and limbs pile
      • East, outside fence, dead shrubs and limbs pile + concrete footings
      • Behind shop, old aluminum pool cover tracks
    2. Mow east of fence on "flat", as needed [I will stake sprinklers]
    3. Mow firepit triangle, as needed [I will stake sprinklers]
    4. Lava rock removal, corner beds, and master BR bed
    5. Removal of Playset and Trampoline
    6. Re-curb inner pool fence
    7. new curb on south slope bed
    8. Bury sprinkler line along long driveway
    9. Move rocks

Finished clearing the red dogwood shrub from the corner of the living room bed

Planted three (3) Euonymous bushes in the lower gateway planter bed

Planted in lower gateway planter bed:

  • six (6) hostas
  • two (2) lilac bushes

Fertilized roses and other last-year plantings
